Shah Rukh Khan & Deepika At Om Shanti Om Music LaunchShah Rukh Khan’s much talked about forthcoming production Om Shanti Om is set to make a New Record. It is for the first time that a Bollywood film’s music album will be available for full downloads on mobile handsets and digital media including itunes across 23 countries including India, Singapore, UK, US, UAE, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. Music company T-Series, which holds the music rights of the film directed by Farah Khan, will facilitate the service through its mobile content partner Hungama Mobile. T-Series will simultaneously launch the music on CDs.

Arjun Kapoor to direct Katrina Kaif?

Boney Kapoor’s son Arjun Kapoor is all set to make his debut in Bollywood.
Though he will not be acting but certainly he will make his directorial debut in 2008.
Arjun is currently working on two scripts and will start his first film early next year.
It is believed that Arjun will be doing a love story titled as Bombay Meri Jaan which
will be a period drama set in 60s. When we quizzed Arjun about this film he said, “I
wanted this title but the same is registered with Mr Mahesh Bhatt. So I can’t use the
same title.” He further explains “Normally, if a person doesn’t use a particular title for
3 years then it’s open to others. However I have dropped the plan of making Bombay
Meri Jaan as of now and am working on the other script currently”.
Needless to say, Arjun’s first film will be presented and produced by his father Boney Kapoor. “My film will be
produced by our production house”, confirms Arjun. Reportedly few days back Arjun promised his rakhi sister
Katrina Kaif to gift a script. Does that mean Katrina will be a part of his directorial debut? “It’s too early to talk
about my film as I am still working on my script along with my writers. I haven’t decided anything about the
cast. I’ll finalise my star cast only after I finish the script. I am planning to start my film next year”, clarifies
Arjun. Arjun has earlier assisted Nikhil Advani on his films like Kal Ho Na Ho and Salaam-E-Ishq . He
has also assisted for Boney Kapoor’s No Entry .

Partner First Day Review:-The Govinda and Salman Khan starrer received good response from the audience on the first day, as movie buffs flocked theatres to see the chemistry between the two stars. The movie also stars former Miss Universe Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif. "It was really good, a very funny movie. Govinda and Salman were good, they looked fabulous together, the little kid was also good, altogether the movie was good," said Mohit. "It is a very nice comedy film, It is a typical David Bhawan comedy flick," said Ram Swaroop, a Dhawan fan. Although, Dhawan has done a lot of movies earlier with Salman and Govinda separately, but it is for the first time that he has cast them together. Govinda plays a simple man in the movie who takes tips from 'love guru' Salman to woo Katrina.
"I think when you will see 'Partner' you will find a man like yourself in it. You will enjoy watching it with your family. You will laugh and enjoy it. But don't use your brain while watching the movie just sit and enjoy. It is simple fun," said Govinda.The movie, made with a budget of 220 million rupees, is the only Bollywood movie released this week.

Akshay Kumar, will be a part of this one, and paired opposite him is the lovely Katrina Kaif. Vipul Shah has decided to essay the role of Mr Producer, while handing over the directorial baton to Anees Bazmee for a motion picture, funnily titled Singh The King. “It’s an action comedy,” says Vipul. Anees Bazmee will be directing the movie. I describe his kind of cinema as Manmohan Desai’s cinema in today’s time.” Vipul’s favourite actor, Akshay Kumar, will be a part of this one, and paired opposite him is the lovely Katrina Kaif. Another Namastey London?Fortunately, these two have emerged as the only two people who suit the characters in the script,” states Vipul. About other actors as part of the cast, we hear even Neha Dhupia may be a part of it. Formalities have to be completed, and only then will we be able to say who is going to be a part of this. The film’s music will be composed by Pritam and the magnum opus will be shot in Australia, Egypt and Punjab. “This is my most expensive production to date,” confesses Shah.But I’m going to sit back stress-free and simply enjoy making this one, as the stressful job of direction is Bazmee’s.”

'Partner' inspired from 'Hitch'08th July 2007 11.30 IST

Hollywood films have often inspired movies in Hindi film industry. Director David Dhawan’s upcoming film Partner is one such flick. It has been inspired from director Andy Tennant’s Hollywood movie ‘Hitch’ (2005), a romantic comedy featuring Will Smith, Eva Mendes, Kevin James and Amber Valleta.‘Hitch’ was about a professional date doctor who specializes in the art of wooing women. He guides one of his clients in wooing a celebrity. But the date doctor finds himself unable to woo the woman he desires. In the end, he discovers that it is not so much about using methods in wooing women. It is about letting love finds its own way.
In ‘Partner’, Salman Khan plays an expert on women who guides Govinda in winning the love of Katrina Kaif . But Salman himself has tough time wooing Lara Dutta .
David Dhawan doesn’t deny that ‘Partner’ is inspired from ‘Hitch’, but he makes it clear that his movie is not a copy of the English film.
“The film (Hitch) sparked an idea in my mind. I have used that idea in telling the story in an Indian context with my own treatment of the subject,” Dhawan is quoted as saying.
Dhawan promises that ‘Partner’ will have very desi humour. The comedy in ‘Partner’, the director insists, is not lifted from ‘Hitch’.
‘Partner’ is produced by Sohail Khan productions. The film is slated to hit the theatres on July 20.

Katrina replaces Kareena opposite beau Salman in ‘My Punjabi Nikah’
Kareena Kapoor was earlier set to play the female lead in Sohail Khan’s film ‘My Punjabi Nikah’ and supposedly it was Salman who suggested Kareena’s name for the film. Kareena and Salman are said to be friends and they get along quite well. They have also done a film, Kyon Ki together and although the film was a flop their pairing was appreciated. Salman is known to also promote his friends careers and Kareena being a friend he recommended her name for the film. However now it seems Salman has probably changed his mind and decided that Katrina should be paired opposite him in the film. So when it came to choosing between friendship and love, obviously Salman an emotional guy chose love, hands down. So Kareena has now been replaced with Katrina.
